Weekly Journal, Week 3.1

      My team was going to have a presentation this week, and I was really looking forward to seeing what they did, but did not happen. Due to poor scheduling because of confuse of time zone, they did not meet for the presentation. They did say they will reschedule it, so waiting to hear back when that will be. I was able to see a PowerPoint of the slides that they made, which was nice, but the slides only showed artwork. They also showed some work of their crab artwork in Discord.      I don't know how the team is effectively communicating with each other through Teams and Discord channels. A meeting was live for over 5 hours on Friday in Teams, and for the most part they keep the channel open, but no one really takes about what they are doing. They will say what they are eating for lunch and then say they are switching to Discord. Trello seems to be where they keep account of their sprints and framework.       For me, I have been ...

Weekly Journal 2.1

  This week has been interesting and frustrating for me to figure out what is going on with my group. I have talked with multiple people in the group, and I understand they are making a game and not use to working with a producer for their game before. As I have never worked with anyone designing a game before. So, trying to come to a middle ground on what the group needs and what I can do to help them meet this goal has been hard to say the least. Finally, we have agreed for me to test the game and answer questions on a tech sheet and write down what I find out. Also, they require a test audience for the game, well I have three kids myself a 13-year-old son, and a 11- and 5-year-old daughter that will be playing the game with me taking notes. I am hoping this will help my group answer some of the questions they have on game play and control. The group has set up a Trello board and held their group meetings in a Scrum environment.
